What started out as me wondering where the eclipse hit in Dark Dawn quickly evolved into “I wonder exactly how much the world changed between TLA and DD?”  And then acting on that wonder.
I went through the list of places that we can visit in both TBS/TLA and DD, marked both places, and then drew arrows to show where they moved. The point at the end of each arrow is there that place currently exists in Dark Dawn.  I worked under the assumption that Mt. Aleph stayed basically in the same place.  (Also, now that I’m thinking about it, Izumo and Yamata City were supposed to be different places, right? Because their islands look basically the same size and shape….)
To me, it looks as though the world shrunk WAY MORE even after the Golden Sun event, which was supposedly going to stop the shrinking. Also wtf @ Old Kolima/Old Kolima forest being in the MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN.  I don’t know, I’m torn between accepting that Weyard went through massive change or just concluding that the game designers of Dark Dawn were super lazy.
